How ReferralCommons works (and why it's fair)
Published Jul 27, 2026
Referral programs pay twice: the person who shares a code earns a bonus, and the person who uses it gets one too. The catch is that most people signing up for Swagbucks or Rakuten don't know anyone to get a code from, and most members never find anyone to give theirs to.
ReferralCommons fixes both halves at once.
Drawing a code
Pick a program and hit draw. You get one code from the community pool, chosen fairly: the codes shown least recently come up first, so nobody's code hogs the spotlight. Use it when you sign up and you'll get the new-member bonus. For example, Swagbucks pays referred members bonus points on their first earnings.
If a code doesn't work, hit the report button. Three reports retire a code automatically, and every code expires after 30 days unless its owner refreshes it, so the pool stays clean without anyone policing it.
Adding yours
Submitting takes one form and no account. You get a private manage link, a secret URL that's the only key to your codes. Bookmark it, refresh your codes monthly, and strangers earn referral rewards for you while you sleep.
The honest part
A disclosed share of draws serve this site's own codes, the exact current rate is always posted on the about page. That's the entire business model: no ads, no data selling. House codes follow exactly the same rotation, expiry, and strike rules as everyone else's.
