Cannot find your referral code? Three reasons, and what to do about each

You have signed up, you have gone looking for your referral code so you can share it, and there is nothing there. This happens constantly, and it is almost never because you missed a button. There are three real explanations, and the fix is different for each.

1. The program does not use codes at all

This is the most common one by a wide margin. Of the programs listed on this site, eleven of seventeen run referrals purely as links, with no code anywhere: Swagbucks, InboxDollars, MyPoints, PrizeRebel, Branded Surveys, TopCashback, KashKick, Qmee and GG2U among them.

For those, there is no code field during signup, so a plain code has nothing to be typed into. What you are looking for is a referral link, usually on a page called Refer a Friend, Invite Friends or similar in your account settings. Copy the whole URL, starting with https, and share that.

Only two programs in the catalog treat a code as the primary form, Fetch Q1QYK and Upside GGE43, and four accept either. If you are hunting for a code on a link-only program, you can stop.

2. Referrals are locked until your account has some history

Several programs deliberately withhold referral links from brand new accounts, because a fresh account that can immediately generate invite links is exactly what a fraud operation wants. Qmee unlocks its referral links after a period of normal use rather than at signup. Mistplay goes further and gates them behind reaching Checkpoint 5 in one of its games.

There is no trick here and nothing to appeal. Use the program the way you would anyway for a week or two, then look again. If the refer-a-friend section was not in your account menu before, it usually appears on its own once you qualify.

3. The program may not run referrals any more

Occasionally the honest answer is that the thing you are looking for does not exist. [unknown program] is the example in our own catalog: it publishes no referral terms, members report finding no referral link in their accounts, and the figures circulating online trace back to referral listing sites rather than to Survey Junkie. We could not confirm the program is still running, so there is no Survey Junkie pool here.

If you cannot find a referral option and the company's help pages say nothing about one, that silence is usually the answer. Contacting support is worth five minutes, since you are the account holder and can get a definitive reply that nobody outside the company can.

A related trap worth knowing

Some programs accept a code only within a narrow window after signup. AttaPoll UWHTI takes a referral code up to seven days after you register, and Fetch Q1QYK wants one before you scan your first receipt. Miss the window and it usually cannot be applied afterwards, which is the single most common way people lose a welcome bonus they were entitled to.
