Referral code etiquette: how to be a good pool citizen

A pool only works if the people drawing from it also put something back. ReferralCommons doesn't force that. There's no login wall, nothing stops you from drawing and never adding a code, but a few habits keep the pool healthy for everyone, yourself included next time you need a code.

Add before you draw, when you can

If you're already a member of a program, your code costs you nothing to add and might pay you for months. The healthiest pools are the ones where people give back roughly what they take.

Refresh instead of resubmitting

A code you already added doesn't need a new listing. Open your manage link and hit "refresh" to reset its freshness timer. Resubmitting the same value does the same thing automatically, but the manage link is faster and lets you swap in a new value if your old one stopped working. Report honestly, not competitively

The "didn't work" button exists to clear out dead codes, not to knock out codes you'd rather not see. Only report a code if it actually failed when you tried it, the system already limits reports to codes that were served to you, once each, so there's no advantage to gaming it anyway.

Bookmark your manage link

It's the only way back to your codes. There's no password reset, no "forgot my email" flow, because there's no account to recover. One bookmark, kept private, is all you need.
