Is Receipt Hog legit?
Receipt Hog pays coins for photographs of any paper receipt, from any shop, with no requirement to buy particular products. Coins convert at 1,000 to $5. There are also occasional surveys and a slots minigame. It is the least demanding receipt app to use and among the slowest to pay.
Facts on this page were checked against Receipt Hog's own published terms on August 30, 2026.
How it pays
The practical test of a rewards program isn't whether it exists, it's whether money leaves it. Receipt Hog pays via PayPal, Amazon gift card, Visa gift card. Minimum payout: 1,000 coins, which is $5. Weekly coin earnings are capped, so most people take a couple of months of ordinary shopping to get there.. A low floor means you find out quickly whether it works for you; a higher one means your first payout takes longer to arrive, which is worth knowing going in rather than discovering at week three.
Before you sign up
Either form works. A referral link carries the credit on its own; a plain code has to be entered during registration and cannot be added afterwards. Accepts any receipt rather than only qualifying purchases, which is its main advantage over offer-based receipt apps. Available in the US and parts of Europe. Cashing out requires completing the introductory questionnaire and verifying your email first.
How we check
Every figure on this page comes from Receipt Hog's own help pages or terms, not from a press release or another blog, and it carries the date we last read them. We re-check on a rolling cycle and correct mistakes in public when we find them. If a program's terms ever prohibited sharing referrals on a site like this one, it wouldn't be listed here at all, which is why the catalog is smaller than the internet's usual "top 50 apps" lists.
